INTRODUCTION
In Azerbaijan, J. Ray uses part of the facilities at the Baku Deepwater Jacket Factory (BDJF), a subsidiary of State Oil Company of the Azerbaijan Republic. As part of the topsides fabrication contracts with Azerbaijan International Operating Company, operated by BP, J. Ray revived the facility that had been one of the largest and most modern industrial units in the former SU. The company established a full project infrastructure at the BDJF including a comprehensive upgrade program of the existing facilities. These upgraded facilities are world class. They are fully safety compliant, meet international operating standards, and are operated by trained and qualified personnel.
The BDFJ yard, originally predominately a jacket fabrication facility, was adapted to handle large integrated deck fabrication and presently has the capacity to fabricate/assemble over 22,046 tons of facilities annually. As for workload capacity, there is no limitation on fabrication of any size module.
