INTRODUCTION
Ideally
situated to serve the requirements of the offshore construction
market, Dubai's strategic location at the crossroads of the Eastern and Western
hemispheres has enabled J. Ray to export products to the offshore oil and gas industry practically anywhere in the world, efficiently and cost effectively.
J. Ray's Middle East and India fabrication facility and marine base is located in the Dubai port of Jebel Ali Free Zone and is home to the Middle East project operations
group. The Emirate of Dubai is situated on the Arabian Gulf, approximately 99 miles north east of Abu Dhabi and 99 miles southwest of the Straits of Homuz, where the Arabian Gulf joins the Gulf of Oman and continues to the Indian Sea.
Served by Dubai International Airport and a major road network, the free zone is easily accessible by car. The heart of Dubai is just 29 miles from Jebel Ali, as is Dubai Drydocks, one of the largest in the world which can accommodate vessels of up to 1,735 feet in length and 328 feet in beam.
