McDermott
Caspian Contractors Inc. (MCCI), a subsidiary of J. Ray McDermott,
S.A., operates a portion of the fabrication facility of the Baku
Deep Water Jacket Factory (BDJF), named after the late President of
Azerbaijan, Heydar Aliyev. BDJF is owned by the State Oil Company of
the Azerbaijan Republic and is located 30 km south of Baku, the
capital.
Under contract to the Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC),
MCCI is fabricating integrated decks and installing subsea pipelines
for Phase 1, Phase 2 and Phase 3 as part of the development of the
ACG fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
Under a contract to BP Shah Deniz Exploration Ltd. (BPSD) MCCI will
install subsea pipelines for the development of the Shah Deniz field
in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
From MCCI fabrication yard and marine base at BDJF, we offer
services including design, fabrication and installation of offshore
platforms and installation of offshore pipelines for the oil and gas
industry.
Ideally situated to serve the requirements of the offshore
construction market in the Caspian, Baku’s strategic location at the
crossroads of Eastern and Western hemispheres allows us to export
our products to the offshore oil and gas industry practically

Caspian Operations- Baku, Azerbaijan
Project Director or Senior
Project Manager – Marine Division
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manager of Projects will be responsible for
monitoring and managing of multiple project teams
conducting subsea pipeline construction and subsea
equipment installation.
- Ensure compliance with the Contractual requirements
and that the Project is completed with the agreed
schedule, budget, quality, specifications, client
satisfaction, and to the highest achievable safety
standard.
- Monitor and manage project execution, reporting,
contract management, and client relations. Project
Controls group, and Purchasing /Subcontracts group also
report to this position and oversight and management of
these support groups will be required.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum of 10 years experience in the
management of offshore construction projects of at least $
50-100 million in value.
- Experience with subsea pipeline
construction required. Some experience with installation of
subsea manifolds, flexible pipelines, manifolds and
umbilicals preferred.
- Must be able to monitor and manage
multiple project teams, each lead by a project manager and
liase with client.

MARINE
PROCUREMENT/CONTRACTS MANAGER & SPECIALIST
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Hands on role responsibility for
successful execution of all purchasing and subcontracting
activities within the offshore construction projects /
marine vessel maintenance and upgrades environments.
- Work as a member of a project team, or
lead a project team, responsible for all reporting
requirements to both functional and operational (project)
management.
- Must be familiar with all aspects of
procurement and subcontract administration and be able to
demonstrate a detailed understanding and application of:
issuing and evaluating inquiries, preparation of commercial
evaluations, securing the necessary review and approval from
requisition to delivery, post award administration,
monitoring and reporting of costs and supplier performance,
expediting and resolution of any supply chain issues, and
close out.

- Previous experience in offshore
construction/marine vessel procurement/contracts a must.

PIPELINE BARGE
SUPERINTENDENT – Marine Division
DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and oversee daily operations
and activities of offshore pipeline barge operation. 60/30
rotation.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- 10 -15 years progressive experience in
barge operations, including at the Superintendent level.

- Serve as authorized representative of
the Onshore and/or Offshore groups to ensure that the
construction and/or installation activities of the project

contract.
- Prepare installation procedures,
HAZID’s, and readiness reviews
- Liase and coordinate with key vendors
and client’s E&P design team.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Appropriate degree plus at least 5
years related experience with deep water/diverless
construction techniques and practices for flexible pipelines
and collet type connectors, subsea manifolds, umbilicals and
u-spool jumpers.
