  • Field Safety Assessments by Line Supervisors performed weekly

HSES Management System Audits

Audits of the HSES Management System are performed both internally and externally as follows:

  • Internal audits by JRM Group HSES Department performed annually
  • Internal audits by McDermott International Corporate HSES Department performed periodically
  • External audits by qualified 3rd Party consultants performed annually
  • Subcontractor audits by HSES Department performed as needed

Incident Investigation and Reporting

JRM has developed and implemented its own protocol for incident reporting, investigation and follow-up of corrective and preventative actions. The scope of the incidents covered by the protocol includes near misses, equipment damage, employee injuries/illnesses, and environmental releases. The intent is to focus on potential severity rather than the actual severity of incidents so that high risk situations will be identified and mitigated before another (possibly more serious) incident occurs. Potential severity relates to loss involving personnel, assets, environment, and/or company reputation. All accepted recommendations are entered into an action registry to ensure they are tracked through completion.

Correcting Deficiencies

All operational deficiencies found as a result of audits, inspections, incidents etc. are recorded and tracked to ensure that they are addressed in a timely manner and that any preventive measure and improvements are implemented, as necessary.
