Description:
- 4 Pile, 6 Well D & P Platform at MP 283 (303’
WD)
- 3 Pile, 4 Well Protector Platform at VK 734 (320’
WD)
- Jackets and Decks installed by Lift
|

Innovation:
- 340’ Tripod at VK 734 installed by DB101 using a
2 hook upend method, which eliminated the flooding system
and closure pates.
- The 150 ton Quarters building on the MP 283 deck was utilized
as a counterweight to maintain a level lift. (see photo)
- The main deck components were reused from a salvaged deck
provided by Mobil.
- Numerous pre-existing jackup spud can depressions
dictated the geometry and orientation of both structures.
Technology:
- The 3900 ton MP 283 deck was installed by the SLC5000
over an existing wellhead. (see photo)
- The soil consultant provided cone penetrometer results
at MP 283 to reduce the pile depth in a deep hard sand layer.
