Description:

  • Detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, hookup and precommissioning assistance for a new compression platform, bridge-connected to an existing production platform and to a new living quarters platform.
  • Major refurbishment of the 25 year old production and wellhead platform in the EKPE field complex offshore Nigeria. This included demolition where required, installation of safety systems, conversion to an electronic DCS, tie-in of the new facilities and removal of subsea pipelines.

Scope:

  • Lump sum EPC contract with McDermott responsible for engineering, procurement, fabrication and installation.

Innovations:

  • First time use of the ETPM "Smart Leg System" - an automatic, continuously variable, hydraulic leg system for smoothly maintaining a level deck during floatover operations and allowing for a "soft" landing.
