Technology:

  • Utilization of flexible pipe jumpers
  • Tie-ins made with ROV intervention

Scope:

  • Subsea System design by JRM subsidiary Mentor Subsea. System includes trees, controls, and umbilical topsides.
  • Epic contract that included JRM being responsible for the installation of flowlines and subsea tie-ins.

Description:

  • Subsea Tieback

Innovations:

  • Offset direct control system at 11 miles through use of stainless steel tube umbilical
  • Simultaneously installed 3 pipelines from 2 pipe reels
  • Installed in-line piggable "Y"
  • Simultaneously pulled 5 pipelines through same J-tube
  • Installed FTA and made flexible connection to pipeline from drilling rig
  • Attached J-tube pull cable to pipelines subsea with ROV intervention
  • Installed dual pipeline tie-in sleds
