Description:

  • Pre-fab components for jacket in Morgan City and barge to Harbor Island for assembly of jacket
  • Fabricate piles / conductors in Morgan City
  • Fabricate 5,200 s.t. drilling / production deck

Innovation:

  • Use of strand jacks to roll-up side frames and load-out the complete 38,000 ton jacket

Scope:

  • Lump sum contract with J. Ray McDermott being responsible for fabrication of jacket and deck.

Technology:

  • Use of strand jacks enables the simultaneous roll-up of two 6,000 s.t. bents using remote control capabilities and one operator
