The
diving support vessel Akademik Tofik Ismaylov (DSV) has
been issued to J. Ray Caspian operating entity to
perform pipeline installation projects for the
Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC),
operated by BP, and the State Oil Company of the
Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR).
On
behalf of AIOC, J. Ray performed significant upgrades
of this 300-foot long, 5,181-ton oceanic vessel. Now the DSV boasts
the latest dynamic positioning and navigation
instrumentation and can provide deepwater subsea
construction support via its own remote-operated
vehicle. Its custom-made 12-man diving complex
is designed to perform saturation diving to 984 feet
and air diving in shallow waters to 164 feet.
Significant Upgrades:
- New equipment including the latest dynamic positioning, navigation, main engines control and fire-fighting systems
- Multiple enhancements to pipeline installation capability and repair
- Deepwater subsea construction support using a remote-operated vehicle and other technology.
- Main crane lift capacity of 55 tons and subsidiary deck crane capacity of 2.2 tons.
